Hi! I'm Nick. I write songs, funny songs, and sometimes songs that aren't so funny but are really nice to listen to. I'm nice, like a delicious dessert you take to a family dinner... nice. I've always been a little different, so my songs are sweet and catchy, and are quirky observations on how and why I see the world differently, sometimes (most times) unnecessarily different.
I'm smart! I have a degree in film production and media from University. But seriously, when was the last time you used your degree? What? Never? Me either!
I've done lots of performing. I've been acting and singing for a long time, appearing in numerous musicals and plays over the past decade. I just finished a two year run performing in a theatre, I've just got back from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival writing and performing with the 'Comicide' sketch group, and am singing in the well-known mens choir 'Manchoir', performing in such venues as the Sydney Opera House and The Big Day Out. I've even been on TV! Sweet!
As a writer and comedian I am currently working on my first festival show to tour the country as well as continuing to make and host the impro panel game-show 'Panel Beating' that I created.
It has been said that my "trademark" self-conciousness on stage, has won the hearts of revue, radio, Internet and impro audiences, and underscores an insightful and lyrical comic style. Who said that? My mum. But, she's totally clued up on the scene, seriously. I hope people walk away from my performance's with a smile on their face and a tune in their head. And with some early home grown success, I hope I can make a difference to the world, one laugh at a time (yep, that's a pretty terrible line, but it's staying in).
